Badger Surveys
Estrada Ecology Ltd has successfully obtained a number of Natural England badger licences, and implemented licenced mitigation programmes to facilitate development activities whilst also protecting badgers, their setts and foraging grounds. We also offer a full artificial sett creation service.
Badgers are protected under Schedule 6 of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 (as amended), and the Protection of Badgers Act 1992.
Badgers are widespread throughout most of Britain but they are largely nocturnal, so are rarely seen during the day. When not active, badgers usually spend their day in an extensive system of underground tunnels and nesting chambers, known as a sett.
